Just saw the poster for the 2011 edition of the FEARLESS FRIENDS tour, featuring all your favorite scene bands. My thoughts:
- I am terrible at gauging the popularity of bands. For example, I am constantly surprised that Blessthefall are as big as they are– I think of them as a B-minus level band, but they’re headlining this tour and one of their music videos has over 3 million views. I don’t hate them or anything but I really do not get what makes this band any different from the 9 zillion other breakdown bands???
- The US debut of Chunk No Captain Chunk!! I’m really curious to see how good they are live, given how studio-polished their album is. But super stoked, I love this band- hands down the best easycore band out there.
- Who the fuck is Tonight Alive? Most generic 2009 metalcore scene name ever.
- The Word Alive = one of those bands who I have seen like 6 times opening for Miss May I, Attack Attack, Woe Is Me, etc but never paid any attention to.
- LOL @ the art on this poster. Looks like the horrible fan art drawings that 7th graders would send into Gamepro magazine back in the 90s.
Hit up Fearless Records for the full list of tour dates– u moshing??? Or just hanging out by the merch table and eyefucking the groupies/jailbait?
